Renishaw RenAM 500Q Ultra — Technical data

The RenAM 500Q Ultra is the configuration of the RenAM 500 series with the most lasers and full equipment: four 500 W lasers, TEMPUS and process monitoring with LaserVIEW, MeltVIEW and CameraVIEW from the factory. Each laser reaches the entire 250 × 250 mm build area at 350 mm build height. In the TEMPUS data sheet, TEMPUS cut the build time of an aluminium part on a 500Q from 14:03 to 7:04 hours. The current data sheet states up to 254 cm³/h excluding recoating time, a typical scan speed of 2 m/s and layers of 20 to 120 µm. At 2,070 kg it is the heaviest variant of the series.

A used 500Q Ultra packs a lot of technology into a small space: hours and power report of each laser, the calibration of the four lasers to each other, the condition of sieve, powder conveying and twin filter and the function of MeltVIEW and CameraVIEW all belong on the checklist. The InfiniAM licences are limited to twelve months from the factory; clarify their extension and the transfer of QuantAM and Renishaw Central in advance. A three-phase 63 A supply, argon and a chiller are prerequisites.
