Renishaw RenAM 500Q Flex — Technical data

The RenAM 500Q Flex combines four 500 W lasers with the open, gravity-fed powder system of the Flex version. It is aimed at users who want to develop parameters and materials with the full number of lasers and later transfer the results to a 500Q with powder circuit without requalifying gas flow, chamber and optics. It was presented together with the 500S Flex at Formnext 2021. The build volume measures 250 × 250 × 350 mm, the machine is 2,794 mm high and weighs 1,960 kg.

When buying a used 500Q Flex, look at its history of use: many material changes mean many cleanings and possible residues in the system. Check hours and alignment of all four lasers, the condition of hopper, dosing and filters, the overflow containers and sieving equipment included in the sale, and the licences for QuantAM and InfiniAM. Whether TEMPUS or a closed powder circuit has been retrofitted should be confirmed in writing; a three-phase 63 A supply is a prerequisite.
