Renishaw RenAM 500Q — Technical data
The RenAM 500Q is the four-laser machine of the RenAM 500 series and, according to Renishaw, the manufacturer's best-selling multi-laser system. Four 500 W fibre lasers each reach the entire 250 × 250 mm build area at 350 mm build height and can work together on one part or in parallel on several parts. Presented at formnext 2017, it is designed for series production with a dedicated material: the powder is sieved and returned automatically. The current data sheet states build rates of up to 254 cm³/h excluding recoating time, earlier editions up to 150 cm³/h including recoating.
With a used 500Q the checks multiply with the number of lasers: operating hours and power of each laser, the condition of the optics and the calibration of the lasers to each other, ideally with a recent report. Add sieve, powder conveying and filters, the material history and licences for QuantAM and InfiniAM. The machine weighs about two tonnes and needs a three-phase 63 A supply and a chiller. Whether TEMPUS has been retrofitted should be stated in the offer.
