Renishaw RenAM 500E — Technical data

The RenAM 500E is a single-laser machine of the RenAM 500 series with a 500 W laser and the series' typical build volume of 250 × 250 × 350 mm. Powder is filled from flasks into a silo on top of the machine; Renishaw offered a lifting aid that carries the full powder flask while it is raised. A 2020 trade report on an installation at an Italian manufacturer also mentions a revised gas flow system and parameters for thicker layers. The 500E no longer appears in the current data sheet of the series; today the new range consists of the 500S, 500D and 500Q in three configurations.

Less public data is available for the 500E than for the other models, so buyers should ask to see the rating plate, the configuration and ideally the original data sheet. Important points are laser hours, the condition of optics, filter and gas flow, the included powder filling accessories, the material history, and software and monitoring licences. For transport and installation, plan for a weight of about 1.5 tonnes according to third-party figures.
