Realizer SLM 300i — Technical data

The SLM 300i is the largest machine from Realizer GmbH. A fibre laser of 400 to 1,000 W exposes a 300 × 300 × 300 mm build envelope, and according to a reseller a material change takes about two hours. It processes tool and stainless steels, titanium, aluminium, cobalt-chromium and Inconel, making it suitable for medium-sized parts in tool making, medical technology and research. It connects to 400 V three-phase power at 32 A. Realizer has been majority-owned by DMG MORI since 2017, which offers its own powder bed systems; the SLM 300i itself is discontinued.

A used SLM 300i should come with full documentation: installed laser power and laser hours, service records, and the condition of scanner, recoater, filter and powder module. Control software and data preparation (RDesigner) must be transferable with their licence. As Realizer no longer appears as a brand, clarify before buying whether DMG MORI commits to service and spare parts for the series. With reactive materials such as titanium or aluminium, ask for cleaning records and an explosion-protection concept.
