Realizer SLM 250 — Technical data

The SLM 250 is the mid-size machine in Realizer's selective laser melting range. The build envelope measures 250 × 250 mm with a height of 300 mm, and layer thickness can be set between 20 and 100 µm. A cassette system for the powder shortens material changes. It processed tool and stainless steels, titanium, aluminium and Inconel, often at universities and for medical and dental applications. Early units were sold as the MCP Realizer or MTT Realizer SLM 250 and should not be confused with SLM Solutions' SLM 250 HL. The machine is discontinued.

With a used SLM 250, first establish which generation it belongs to and which laser power is fitted, as reliable manufacturer data are hardly available any more. Then check laser hours, the condition of scanner, protective glass and filter, the tightness of the process chamber and whether control system and software still run. The 400 V, 16 A connection is uncritical. For spare parts and service, contact DMG MORI, majority owner of Realizer since 2017, or an independent provider beforehand.
