Rapid Shape PRO 30 — Technical data

The PRO 30 is the larger of Rapid Shape's two PRO benchtop units and uses the housing of the former D30+. A 4K projector exposes a build area of 192 × 108 mm at 385 nm, around twice that of the PRO 20; build height is 155 mm. Rapid Shape quotes ±25 µm in XY and layers from 25 µm. Force Feedback, a chamber heated to 35 °C, a camera in the build space and a 10-inch touchscreen are standard. According to the manufacturer about six full-arch models fit flat on the platform.

On a used PRO 30, the 4K projector is the most valuable component; the seller should be able to show operating hours and the result of the last light calibration. Camera images in the customer portal give clues about aborted jobs. Vats and build platform are wear parts, with replacements available through Rapid Shape dealers. At 40 kg and about 70 cm tall, the unit needs a sturdy bench. Before buying, settle the transfer in the customer portal so that material profiles and updates keep arriving.
