Rapid Shape PRO 20 — Technical data

The PRO 20 is a compact DLP printer for dental labs and practices that Rapid Shape introduced at the end of 2024. It keeps the housing format of the older D20+ but works with Force Feedback: sensors measure the separation force of every layer and the controller adjusts the speed. With RS Turbo, layer thickness changes between 50 and 150 µm within one job. The build platform measures 133 × 75 × 115 mm, the chamber is heated to 35 °C and ±34 µm in XY is stated. Rapid Shape lists more than 200 validated dental resins from various makers.

When buying second-hand, ask about the number of print jobs and the condition of the resin vats, especially the Crystal Polish vat for glossy splints. As materials are identified by RFID, the printer should be transferred to the buyer in the manufacturer's customer portal, otherwise material database updates are missing. Firmware should be current and Print Studio licensed. Scratches on the projector window and resin residue in the chamber are warning signs.
