Rapid Shape D50+ — Technical data

The D50+ is a floor-standing unit for dental labs with medium to high output. A 4K projector exposes a build area of 231 × 130 mm at 385 nm; without the separation module, build height reaches 300 mm, with the optional ASM 100 mm. The ASM detaches finished parts from the platform, drops them into a basket and starts the next job, while resin is fed automatically from the bottle. Rapid Shape quotes ±30 µm in XY, layers from 50 to 150 µm and a chamber heated to 35 °C. The machine was registered at the end of 2021 and remains in the range.

At 120 kg and 1.66 m tall, the D50+ needs a carrier and pallet truck, and the site must be fixed beforehand. When buying used, what matters is whether the ASM is fitted and works cleanly: mechanism, basket and platform mount wear in continuous use. Projector hours, calibration logs and the condition of the vats show how hard the machine has run. Units sold through Straumann are called P50+; support and the customer portal may then run via Straumann.
