Rapid Shape CURE — Technical data
The CURE is the post-curing unit Rapid Shape offers alongside the WASH. Washed parts sit in a 179 × 117 × 102 mm vacuum chamber and are exposed all round with LED light in the UV-A and UV-B range; the vacuum displaces oxygen, and protective gas can also be fed in through a built-in inlet. This lets the surface cure fully too, which matters for biocompatibility and strength in intraoral parts. Curing programmes are stored for more than 200 resins. The unit weighs 13 kg and is also listed as the PRO cure.
The critical point on a used CURE is the vacuum seal: if the chamber does not hold the vacuum, curing results no longer match the validation. A test run with the vacuum reading shows where things stand. The LEDs age over time, and their output can only be judged indirectly from results. Anyone making medical devices needs a unit validated with their own printer and resin, so the serial number should be transferable in the customer portal.
