Raise3D B520 — Technical data

The Raise3D B520 is a blasting and polishing station for post-processing SLS parts. After unpacking in the C220-P, parts still carry powder residue, which is removed here in a rotating blasting basket with compressed air and blasting media; depending on the media, the surface can also be smoothed. The basket measures Ø 262 × 520 mm in the standard version and Ø 467 × 520 mm in the large one, with 10 or 30 litres of media. It needs over 360 l/min of compressed air at 6 to 8 bar; electrically a normal connection is sufficient. Raise3D offers the B520 with the RMS220, but it is also suitable for SLS parts from other printers.

On a used B520, check the basket, nozzles and seals for wear, since blasting media is abrasive to the unit itself. Important points are the version (standard or large), any media included and whether the compressor at the new site can supply the required air volume continuously. Extraction and filters should also be in good condition.
