Prodways ProMaker P4500 HT — Technical data

The ProMaker P4500 HT is the high-temperature version of the P4500 series, shown by Prodways at formnext in November 2016 and manufactured by Farsoon. It combines a 100 W laser with process temperatures of up to 220 °C, so higher-melting materials can be processed alongside PA12; it was presented with BASF's Ultrasint X028 PA6 powder. The 400 × 400 × 450 mm build volume, eight heating zones and build rates of up to 4.0 l/h match the X variant. On every published figure it corresponds to the Farsoon HT403P.

On a used HT, besides laser hours, the heating needs the closest attention: heaters, temperature sensors and insulation are under greater strain at 220 °C than in PA12-only systems. Ask which powders the machine last ran, since PA6 and PA12 residues must not mix, and check whether the PA6 parameters are included. As Prodways has given up laser sintering, spare parts and service must be arranged through Farsoon or independent technicians. PA6 absorbs moisture, so dry powder storage and a nitrogen supply must be available at the new site.
