Prodways ProMaker P4500 HS — Technical data

The ProMaker P4500 HS is the middle configuration of the P4500 series Prodways introduced in 2016, based on laser sintering systems from the Chinese manufacturer Farsoon. Compared with the base SD model, it doubles laser power to 60 W and reaches build rates of up to 2.7 l/h. All variants share the build volume and heating: 400 × 400 × 450 mm and eight heating zones with controlled temperature management. A 600 mm cartridge for greater build height was announced for 2017. Processed materials were PA12, PA11 and TPU powders from the Prodways range, and the platform was open to third-party powders.

When buying a used HS, compare the rating plate with the laser source actually fitted, as the variants look almost identical from outside. Ask whether a 450 or 600 mm build chamber is installed and whether exchangeable cartridges are included. The Farsoon partnership ended in 2020 and Prodways has since left laser sintering altogether, so service, parameters and software will come via Farsoon or independent technicians. Ask to see maintenance records, laser hours and the condition of heaters, protective glass and recoater blade. Electrical supply and nitrogen provision must be clarified on the specific machine.
