Prodways ProMaker P1000 X — Technical data

The ProMaker P1000 X was introduced at RAPID + TCT in May 2019 as a faster development of the P1000 and shipped from the third quarter of 2019. Compared with the entry-level model it doubles the laser power to 60 W CO2, scans at up to 8 m/s and, according to the data sheet, reaches about 2 l/h at a 0.1 mm layer. The build volume grows to 300 × 300 × 360 mm, roughly 32 litres. Also new were thermal field control with a 24 × 24 measuring grid, a built-in nitrogen generator and a camera in the build chamber. At 1,700 × 1,159 × 2,008 mm and around 750 kg it is larger and heavier than the P1000.

Anyone buying a used P1000 X should check the integrated nitrogen generator first: filters, residual oxygen readings and maintenance records. Then look at the hours and output of the 60 W laser, the condition of the thermal camera and heaters, and the roller and feed cylinders. Because Prodways has given up laser sintering, a service partner experienced with this platform is important. Clarify which accessories, such as an unpacking station or sieves, are included.
