Prodways ProMaker P1000 S — Technical data

The ProMaker P1000 S appeared in December 2021 as the third variant of the series and was delivered from April 2022. It uses the enclosure and equipment of the P1000 X, with a 300 × 300 × 360 mm build volume, built-in nitrogen generator, thermal field control with a 24 × 24 grid and a camera, but works like the original P1000 with a 30 W CO2 laser and up to 3.5 m/s. Prodways quoted a build rate of up to 1.4 l/h. Besides PA12, PA11 and TPU, a polypropylene developed with BASF Forward AM was released. The machine was explicitly designed for a later upgrade to the P1000 X.

When buying used, it is worth asking whether the upgrade to X specification has already been carried out, as laser and scanner determine the value. The type plate and the configuration on the control computer will tell. Otherwise the series checkpoints apply: laser hours, nitrogen generator, heaters, roller and seals. As this is Prodways' most recent SLS system, units are comparatively young; spare parts and service should nonetheless be agreed in writing, as the manufacturer no longer offers laser sintering.
