Prodways ProMaker P1000 — Technical data

The ProMaker P1000 was the entry-level model in Prodways' range of plastic laser sintering systems. It was developed by the team of start-up Norge Systems, acquired in 2015, shown at RAPID 2016 and delivered from late 2016. A 30 W CO2 laser with a 450 µm spot exposes a build volume of 300 × 300 × 300 mm at up to 3.5 m/s, while ten infrared heaters bring the chamber to as much as 200 °C. Nitrogen is supplied by an external generator. Processed materials are PA12, PA11 including glass-filled grades, TPU and PP. The P1000 X and P1000 S later joined the series; Prodways has since given up laser sintering.

Used P1000 units are often offered together with a nitrogen generator, compressor and powder mixer. Compare laser hours with total hours and inspect the roller, heaters, protective glass and chamber seals. As the manufacturer no longer sells SLS systems, it must be clear before purchase who will handle spare parts, laser service and software maintenance. The control computer with its slicer should also be handed over in working order, and the installation site needs a supply fused at 32 A.
