Prodways ProMaker LD20 — Technical data

The ProMaker LD20 is the twin-head version of the LD dental series and was presented at formnext in November 2018; Prodways reported the first sale a few weeks later. Two moving UV LED DLP projectors share the 300 × 445 × 200 mm build area at a 42 µm pixel size. The manufacturer quoted up to around 50 dental arches in under an hour, with sources varying between 48 and 55. A granite platform is meant to allow models without supports. Dimensions of 855 × 1,100 × 1,780 mm and around 510 kg match the LD10. Today Prodways lists the Dental Pro series in its place.

For a used LD20: both projectors must be cleanly calibrated to each other, otherwise offsets appear at the transition zone. Ask to see the hours and light output of both heads and have a test print made across the whole platform. The granite platform should be free of scratches and chips. Vat inventory, resin approvals and software level also need to be clarified. For aligner production, the throughput figure is only achievable with matching post-processing.
