Prodways ProMaker L5000 — Technical data

The ProMaker L5000 belongs to the first generation of MOVINGLight resin printers that Prodways presented at EuroMold in December 2014. With MOVINGLight, a UV LED DLP projector travels over the resin vat and exposes the large build area section by section, preserving the fine pixel size. The L5000 thus offers a 400 × 330 × 400 mm build volume at around 42 µm resolution and processes resins for 365 nm, including model, casting and ceramic-filled grades. It was used in dental laboratories, in aerospace for investment casting patterns and in research institutions. In the current range it has been replaced by the dental and ceramic series.

The L5000 is a heavy industrial system; dealers quote a footprint of around 1.8 × 1.3 × 2.2 m and well over a tonne in weight, which makes transport and installation demanding. Check the operating hours and brightness of the projector LEDs, the mechanics of the projector axis, vat, wiper and platform. It is important that suitable 365 nm resins are still available; clarify this with Prodways or a dealer, as well as software, control computer and service availability for this older generation.
