Prodways Ceram Pro 405+ — Technical data
The Ceram Pro 405+ is the twin-head model of the 405 nm line in the Ceram Pro ceramic series. Two moving UV LED DLP projectors, each delivering 90 mW/cm², expose the 300 × 445 mm build area together, which shortens build time on a fully loaded platform. Pixel size of 42 µm, layer thickness of 50–175 µm, build height up to 350 mm, enclosure and weight of around 510 kg match the other Ceram Pro models. The manufacturer page names silica and alumina resins for investment casting and technical ceramics; the platform remains open to the user's own materials. The page's data table contains errors, so wavelength and number of heads follow the product sheet.
For a used Ceram Pro 405+, a close look at the type plate is worthwhile because the manufacturer's information is partly contradictory: the number of heads and the wavelength should be confirmed on the machine itself. Then come the projector hours of both heads, calibration of the transition zone, vat wear and the platform sizes available. A test part that is debound and sintered demonstrates suitability. Because of the planned sale of Prodways' Systems division, future support should be secured by contract.
