Prodways Ceram Pro 385+ — Technical data

The Ceram Pro 385+ adds a second DLP projector to the Ceram Pro 385. Both heads work at 385 nm and 90 mW/cm² in parallel over the 300 × 445 mm build area, shortening exposure time per layer without changing the 42 µm pixel size; Prodways gives no figure for the time saved. Build height up to 350 mm, layers of 50–175 µm, modular platform, enclosure and weight of around 510 kg are identical to the single-head model. On request the manufacturer also supplies projectors for 365 or 405 nm. The machine is intended for foundries and ceramic producers moving from development batches to larger quantities.

Two projectors mean twice the inspection effort when buying used: both heads should show similar hours and even light output, and calibration of the transition zone must be demonstrated with a full-area test print. Look for wear on vat and blade caused by ceramic fillers. Ask about series operation and maintenance history. Secure contractually who will supply projectors and spare parts in future, as Prodways' Systems division is to be sold.
