PostProcess VORSA 500 — Technical data

The VORSA 500 is PostProcess Technologies' mid-size spray system for removing soluble support structures from FDM parts and was introduced in early 2022. Instead of an immersion bath it uses the VVD spray process in a stainless steel chamber of 410 × 410 × 370 mm, and the temperature can be set between 54 and 71 °C. The AUTOMAT3D control calls up prepared recipes for agitation, temperature and time; PostProcess claims considerably shorter cycles than in an immersion tank. The housing measures about 1.7 × 0.9 × 1.7 m and weighs 481 kg when filled. Water inlet, drain and ventilation are required.

Before buying a used VORSA 500, check the power supply, as only a US version with 240 V three-phase is documented. Spray nozzles, pump, heater and exhaust connection should be clean and working, and the door must close tightly. Ask for the recipes stored in AUTOMAT3D and the maintenance plan, and clarify the licence transfer. The detergent's safety data sheet and disposal route belong in the discussion. A water connection at the installation site is mandatory.
