PostProcess RADOR — Technical data

The RADOR is PostProcess Technologies' compact system for automated surface finishing of 3D printed parts. In a container of about 540 × 220 × 330 mm, parts move together with abrasive media and a detergent whose dosing the control adjusts; parts should take up no more than one third of the volume. PostProcess lists parts from resin, powder and extrusion processes as well as metal parts from DMLS, SLM and DED. The machine measures 1.37 × 0.72 × 1.0 m, weighs 290 kg empty and runs in Europe on 230 V at 16 A. Cycle times and programs are managed via an operating panel.

Anyone buying a used RADOR should ask which materials have been processed, as metal debris and polymer parts do not mix well in the same media. Check the container lining, drive and bearings for wear and either budget for new media or ask to see the condition of the existing charge. The safety data sheet for the detergent belongs in the package, and waste water must be disposed of according to local rules. Stored programs and an introduction by the dealer or manufacturer make the restart easier.
