PostProcess DEMI 800 — Technical data

The DEMI 800 is PostProcess Technologies' large immersion unit for removing support material and resin at higher volumes. The chamber offers 460 mm edges, the tank holds 151 litres, and parts are cleaned by vortex flow with cavitation. The V830 versions add dual agitation, ultrasonics of up to 1,750 W and a heater up to 63 °C; the European V830-230 variant runs on 230 V at 20 A. The machine is about 1.5 m high, 1.1 m wide and weighs roughly 454 kg when filled. PostProcess supplies matching detergents for PolyJet, FDM and resin parts.

With a used DEMI 800, first establish whether it is a basic 800 or a V830, as only the latter has ultrasonics and heating. Then assess ultrasonic output, heater, pumps, valves and tank surface, and ask about filter changes. Because of the large tank volume, a lot of detergent and waste water is involved, so clarify the safety data sheet, disposal records and remaining stock. Note floor loading and drainage at the installation site. Recipes and maintenance counters in the control should be retained.
