PostProcess DEMI 430 — Technical data

The DEMI 430 is PostProcess Technologies' mid-size immersion unit for removing support material and resin residue. Parts sit in a basket with 355 mm edges inside a 64-litre tank, where pumps create a vortex flow with cavitation; the 430 adds ultrasonics and a heater from 30 to 63 °C. Depending on the print process, PostProcess uses its own detergents for PolyJet, FDM or resin parts from SLA, DLP and CLIP. The unit weighs 213 kg when filled and runs on 230 V in Europe. The simpler DEMI 400 without ultrasonics was only available for 120 V.

With a used DEMI 430, first check the tank, heating elements and ultrasonic transducers for deposits and function, as well as pump, seals and filters. Ask which detergent was last filled and request the safety data sheet and the disposal route for spent solution. The recipes stored in AUTOMAT3D are useful for switching between resin and support material. As this is a discontinued unit, ask PostProcess about the availability of spare parts and detergents.
