PostProcess BASE — Technical data

The BASE is PostProcess Technologies' large spray system for removing soluble support structures from FDM parts, intended for large-format printers. In a work area of just over 1.0 × 0.7 × 0.66 m, parts are not immersed but sprayed in a targeted way with the VVD process, while the AUTOMAT3D control under Windows 10 regulates time, flow and temperature. The detergents PLM-201-SPRAY and PLM-202-SPRAY serve as media. With the doors closed the system needs about 1.74 × 1.03 m of floor space at 2.37 m height, and filled it weighs almost one tonne. It connects to a three-phase 400 V, 25 A supply.

Used, the BASE mainly pays off for users of large FDM parts with soluble support. Check spray nozzles, pumps and filters for deposits and door seals and tank for leaks. The control PC with Windows 10 and the AUTOMAT3D licence should be included; ask whether PostProcess will continue to maintain the software for the new owner. The detergent needs its safety data sheet and a disposal plan. Allow enough space for transport and installation because of the weight and the door swing area.
