Nikon SLM Solutions PSV (Powder Supply Vacuum) — Technical data

The Powder Supply Vacuum, or PSV, is the automatic powder supply for the SLM 280 PS and SLM 500 production machines. It holds up to 90 litres of metal powder, sieves it and conveys it to the machine by vacuum; overflow powder and powder from unpacking flow back into the reservoir. The entire loop stays under inert gas, which matters especially for reactive materials such as titanium or aluminium. Scales show the fill level and dew point sensors log moisture. On the SLM 280 PS the PSV also handles depowdering; on the SLM 500 it is linked to the Part Removal Station.

A used PSV only makes sense together with the matching machine, since connections and controls are matched to each other. Check the sieve insert, seals and hoses, calibration of scales and moisture sensors, and which material was conveyed last.
