Nikon SLM Solutions NXG XII 600 — Technical data

The NXG XII 600 is Nikon SLM Solutions' high-volume production system. Twelve lasers of 1000 W each expose a cube-shaped build envelope of 600 × 600 × 600 mm; the manufacturer puts the speed advantage over a single-laser machine at around twenty times. The system uses an exchangeable build cylinder and a zoom function for adjusting the process parameters. It is aimed at producers of large metal parts or high part counts, such as drive housings in automotive, turbine components in aviation and energy, or rocket parts. It was introduced at the end of 2020; the NXG 600E adds greater build height.

Used NXG systems are rare and usually part of a complete production cell. Before buying, establish which peripherals – preheating and depowdering station, exchange cylinders, powder supply – are included, how many hours each of the twelve lasers has run, and whether service and software licences can be transferred. Transport, foundation and utility supply need planning of their own.
