Nikon SLM Solutions NXG 600E — Technical data

The NXG 600E is the version of the NXG XII 600 with an extended Z axis. Footprint and optics match the sister model – twelve lasers of 1000 W each on 600 × 600 mm – but build height rises to 1500 mm. This allows long, slender parts to be made in one piece, such as thrust chambers for rocket engines, pylons or structural parts; according to the manufacturer, a thrust chamber example in IN718 took about seven days. This machine also uses an exchangeable build cylinder and zoom function. It was introduced in early 2023, then still under the name NXG XII 600E.

Anyone considering a used 600E should have the load capacity of the Z axis and the condition of guides and build cylinder checked carefully, since a full cylinder carries several tonnes of powder and parts. Equally important are the hours on all twelve lasers, the included peripherals, transferability of service and licences, and ceiling height and crane capacity at the new site.
