Nexa3D QLS 230 — Technical data

The QLS 230 is a compact laser sintering printer for polymer powder that Nexa3D took over in 2023 together with XYZprinting's SLS business; it had previously been sold there as the MfgPro230 xS. A 30 W CO2 laser sinters the powder in a cube-shaped build volume of 230 mm per side, and the minimum layer thickness is 0.1 mm. According to the reseller brochure it includes nitrogen control, and the housing measures 1,460 × 740 × 1,890 mm. Nexa3D presented the machine as an open system for polyamides, TPU and PBT and, through a partnership, also offered metal feedstock for ColdMetalFusion.

Second-hand, the QLS 230 offers access to powder-bed production for small batches, but the supply chain has been broken twice: first XYZprinting sold the business, then Nexa3D ceased operations at the end of 2024. Laser hours, the condition of recoater, heaters and laser window, and a stock of filters and wear parts are therefore important. Also clarify whether Buildware or SLSware is handed over working and licensed, and whether powder-handling equipment is included.
