Massivit 10000 — Technical data

The Massivit 10000 is a system for mould and tool making that combines gel dispensing with casting (Cast in Motion). One print head builds a double-walled shell from water-breakable gel while a second head pours in epoxy or polyurethane resin. After curing, the shell is dissolved in water, leaving a solid mould part that can be post-cured and machined. The print chamber measures around 1.42 × 1.11 × 1.5 m and is heated up to 60 °C, and parts may weigh up to 300 kg. The system weighs about 3.5 t, plus a separate casting material system. The 10000-G variant additionally processes standard Dimengel grades.

A used 10000 is an investment in a process, not just a printer. Besides print and casting heads, check the mixing and dosing of the casting material system, chamber heating and the removable print tray. According to the manufacturer, maintenance takes about 20 minutes daily, one hour weekly on the head and one day monthly on the casting system; logs of this show how well it has been looked after. Approved casting resins, storage conditions and a service contract should be clarified before buying.
