Markforged X7 (Gen 2) — Technical data
The X7 is Markforged's mid-sized industrial composite printer, intended for fixtures, tooling and load-bearing functional parts. In a 330 × 270 × 200 mm build volume it prints Onyx and other plastics and can embed continuous carbon, glass, HSHT glass or aramid fibre. A laser sensor levels the bed, calibrates the print and measures layers during the build; the bed sits on a kinematic coupling. Compared with its discontinued siblings X3 and X5, it handles the full fibre range; the larger FX10 belongs to the same line.
Before buying a used X7, look at print hours, the condition of the plastic and fibre nozzles, bed flatness and the laser sensor's error logs. Since slicing and management run through Eiger, clarify whether the seller will release the device from their organisation and which subscription continues. For networks without Wi-Fi, consider the offline variant.
