Markforged X7 Field Edition — Technical data

The X7 Field Edition is an X7 adapted for mobile use: printer, tools, spare parts and material travel in a rugged Pelican case weighing 86 kg in total. Markforged introduced it in 2021 for deployments far from a workshop, such as armed forces or expedition sites; once set up it is said to be ready to print within minutes. Technically it largely matches the X7, with a 330 × 270 × 200 mm build volume, a laser sensor for calibration and the continuous fibre range of carbon, glass, HSHT glass and aramid. A version without Wi-Fi is available.

When buying a used Field Edition, check the case for cracks, seals and latches and compare the included spare parts and tools against the packing list. As with the X7, print hours, nozzle condition and bed flatness matter. It is also important to know whether it is the Wi-Fi or the offline version and how Eiger is licensed, especially if the unit is to run without a network connection.

1 · Buy

Matching used machines for this material and build volume.

2 · Let us search

Nothing suitable? We will search for you – or get an e-mail as soon as a matching machine comes in.

3 · Have parts printed

Not worth your own machine? We produce your parts – request from the LayerByLayer 3D printing service.

Buy or have it printed? For small or changing quantities, having parts printed is often cheaper than your own machine. If you regularly fill many build jobs, your own machine pays off.
