Markforged Mark Two (Gen 1) — Technical data

The first-generation Mark Two is the forerunner of today's Mark Two (Gen 2) and one of the machines with which Markforged popularised continuous fibre printing on the desktop. It was sold as 'Mark Two – Onyx' and 'Mark Two – Nylon'. Markforged took the Gen 1 off sale on 30 June 2019 when the Gen 2 with a revised extruder arrived. According to the old data sheet it offers a 320 × 132 × 154 mm build volume and two print heads, one for plastic and one for continuous fibre; Markforged itself no longer provides the sheet.

The decisive point when buying used is the end of support on 31 December 2026: after that the manufacturer offers neither service nor spare parts, and the Eiger connection is no longer assured. A Gen 1 Mark Two is therefore more suitable for hobbyists, teaching or as a parts donor. Before buying, clarify the part number, print hours, the condition of nozzles and Bowden tubes, and run a test print with fibre.
