Markforged FX20 — Technical data
The FX20 is the largest composite machine in Markforged's line-up and is designed for high-performance plastics. In its heated 525 × 400 × 400 mm build volume it processes ULTEM 9085 and Vega as well as the Onyx variants, reinforcing parts with continuous carbon, high-temperature carbon or glass fibre. The head carries three nozzles – two for plastic, one for fibre –, the axes are controlled via linear encoders, and a material cabinet keeps XL spools dry. It is intended for users who need large flame-retardant or heat-resistant parts from their own production.
A used FX20 needs a suitable high-current supply, single- or three-phase depending on the version, and an accessible site that can carry over half a tonne. Check operating hours, the condition of print head, vacuum bed and moisture control, the calibration history and which materials are enabled on the machine. Also clarify whether Eiger access and premium options can be transferred.
