Lithoz CeraFab System S65 — Technical data

The CeraFab System S65 is Lithoz's industrial system for lithography-based ceramic manufacturing, LCM for short. A light-sensitive resin filled with ceramic powder is exposed layer by layer from below by a DLP projector; the green part is then debound and sintered and, according to the manufacturer, reaches the properties of conventionally produced ceramics. The build envelope is 102 × 64 × 320 mm, lateral resolution 40 µm, and layers between 10 and 200 µm are possible at up to 150 layers per hour. An optional Performance Pack with a 4K projector achieves 25 µm on a slightly narrower build area. The platform was introduced in 2019.

A used S65 should only be bought with the whole process in mind, since debinding and sintering need additional furnaces that Lithoz does not supply. Check projector hours and light source brightness, the condition of vat and blade, and the build platforms. Installation requires a yellow-light room with no light below 500 nm, a constant 23 to 27 °C, humidity below 50 % and oil-free compressed air. Clarify which material licences and parameter sets are transferable and whether your own slurries are permitted. A service contract with Lithoz is advisable.
