Lithoz CeraFab System S230 — Technical data

The CeraFab System S230 was the largest model of the first CeraFab System line-up. Lithoz presented the family of S25, S65 and S230 at formnext 2019, and the first S230 was due for delivery in early 2020. With a build height of 320 mm, the build area measures 192 × 120 mm. Across it the 2,560 × 1,600 pixel projector achieves only 75 µm lateral resolution, and layers range from 25 to 200 µm. According to the family data sheet, the series builds up to 150 layers per hour, and the cell weighs around 400 kg. Since 2024 Lithoz has offered the large platform with the S320.

The S230 is no longer in the current Lithoz range, so before buying it should be clear how long projector, vats and control system will still be supported. Key points are the running time and brightness of the projector, the flatness of the wide build platform and a calibration report covering the whole area, since edge deviations weigh heavily on large parts. The process database should come with its records. The coarser resolution suits larger components rather than delicate structures, and the furnaces must take large green parts.
