Lithoz CeraFab 8500 — Technical data
The CeraFab 8500 was the larger model of Lithoz's first LCM generation and was presented at the Ceramitec trade fair. Compared with the CeraFab 7500 it offered a wider build area of 115 × 64 mm for larger components or more parts per run; build height is given in the trade press as 150 mm and later as 200 mm. Lateral resolution is 60 µm, and the LED exposure works from below through a transparent vat, so only the material needed is consumed. The unit weighs around 250 kg. Its successor, the CeraFab System S65, arrived in 2019 with 150 instead of 100 layers per hour.
For a used 8500, similar checkpoints apply as for the 7500, with particular attention to manufacturer support. Ask Lithoz whether exposure unit, vats and build platforms are still supplied and which software versions are supported. Operating hours and power loss of the LED light source should be documented. Request an overview of the materials processed and clarify whether material licences are transferable or tied to the original buyer. Yellow light, climate control, compressed air and network apply as for all Lithoz units. Furnaces for debinding and sintering must be available separately.
