Lithoz CeraFab 7500 Dental — Technical data
The CeraFab 7500 Dental is the dental version of Lithoz's first LCM generation and was shown at IDS in Cologne in March 2019. The hardware matches the CeraFab 7500: build envelope 76 × 43 × 170 mm, 40 µm lateral resolution, layers from 10 to 100 µm and up to 100 layers per hour. What differs is the scope of supply and the focus. Alongside the CeraFab Control software it comes with CeraDoc4Med, which generates reports for the technical documentation of medical devices. Intended materials were zirconia for crowns, veneers and implants, plus tricalcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite. Lithoz does not state any certification of the machine itself.
When buying a used 7500 Dental, first establish whether CeraDoc4Med transfers with a valid licence, as otherwise the real difference from the standard unit is lost. Ask for test records of dental parts produced and whether Lithoz still supplies zirconia slurries for this older unit. On the technical side, the running time of the LED exposure, the quick-lock vats and the build platforms matter. The system weighs around 250 kg and needs 230 V at 16 A, oil-free compressed air, a climate-controlled yellow-light room and debinding and sintering furnaces.
