Lithoz CeraFab 7500 — Technical data
The CeraFab 7500 is an early LCM system from Lithoz and, together with the larger CeraFab 8500, formed the first commercial generation before the System series replaced it. According to universities operating the unit, the build envelope is 76 × 43 × 170 mm, lateral resolution 40 µm and layer thickness 10 to 100 µm at up to 100 layers per hour. Typical materials were alumina, zirconia, silicon nitride and bioceramics. Lithoz itself now only provides the installation requirements: 230 V at 16 A, oil-free compressed air, Ethernet, a constant 23 to 27 °C and yellow light.
With a used 7500, support is the main issue: check with Lithoz whether spare parts, replacement of the exposure unit and software updates are still available. Check the operating hours of the light source, the condition of vats and build platform and the control computer, which often runs an older operating system. It matters which material licences exist and whether current Lithoz slurries are still approved for this unit. A climate-controlled yellow-light room is required, and debinding and sintering take place in separate furnaces.
