KEYENCE VL-770 — Technical data
The VL-770 is the measurement unit of the VL-700 series, a later stage of Keyence's 3D Scanner CMM. Compared with the VL-370 and VL-570 it uses a brighter dual projector and captures up to 9 million measuring points per shot, in a fast, normal or fine mode. Measuring fields and accuracy stay the same at Ø 300 × 200 mm and Ø 70 × 50 mm and ±10 µm, with ISO 10360-8 now given as the reference standard. The VL-750 and VL-730 stages have a 500 mm diameter top plate, and the VL-750 additionally moves in X and Y. Output is a full-colour textured mesh. The successor is the VL-800 series with the VL-870.
With the VL-770 too, measurement unit, VL-700 controller, stage, light-blocking cover, calibration artefact and control PC should come from one installation. Check projector and optics for dust and scratches, the stage mechanics for play, and ask for a comparison measurement on a reference standard. Ask about the calibration certificate, maintenance history and software licences including add-on modules. Whether Keyence will calibrate and support the unit after the change of ownership should be settled before purchase.
