HP Metal Jet S100P — Technical data

The HP Metal Jet S100P is the production configuration of the Metal Jet platform, sitting between the S100D development variant and the S100 mass-production package. It comprises one printer, two build units, a separate curing station, a Volkmann powder handling system and an entry-level vacuum furnace from Sinterzone, MUT or Carbolite Gero. The effective build height is given as 100 mm on a 430 × 309 mm footprint. The printer itself is the same as in the other configurations: six Thermal Inkjet printheads, 1200 dpi, layers of 35 to 140 µm. Stainless steels 316L and 17-4PH are certified.

With a used S100P it pays to check the scope precisely: are both build units, the curing station, the Volkmann station and the furnace included, or only the printer? Without a sintering furnace and powder handling the system cannot be used productively. Also check printhead condition, service history, unlocked software for process development and sintering simulation, and the three-phase power and protective gas requirements for the furnace.
