HP Metal Jet Powder Removal Station — Technical data
The HP Metal Jet Powder Removal Station removes loose metal powder from the green parts after curing. It automatically recovers coarse powder by vibration and cleans the build unit in an enclosed environment; fine residues can then be removed manually with suction attachments. The station measures 2665 × 2212 × 2550 mm, weighs 814 kg and draws 1 kW, or 4 kW with a vacuum pump. HP lists it as part of the S100 mass-production package; with the S100D and S100P depowdering is done by other means.
Used, the station is mainly of interest to operators expanding an S100 line or wanting to reduce manual depowdering. Check the vibration mechanism, seals, filters and extraction, and the condition of glove ports or suction attachments. As with all metal powder components, the cleaning state, alloys processed and explosion protection requirements must be documented.
