HP Jet Fusion 580 Color — Technical data

The HP Jet Fusion 580 Color was the full-colour Multi Jet Fusion system in the compact 500 series that HP introduced in 2018. It prints parts with a black core, a white intermediate layer and a coloured surface, or entirely white, in a 332 × 190 × 248 mm build volume at 0.08 mm layers. The material is HP 3D High Reusability CB PA 12, a polyamide 12 for colour printing. Mixing, loading and recovering powder are integrated into the unit; a single-phase connection and around 650 kg weight make installation easier than with the large systems. Its black-and-white sibling is the 540; the series is now only listed in support.

Before buying a used 580, clarify above all the condition of the colour printheads and the availability of colour agents and CB PA 12 powder, as the series is discontinued. Print hours, the calibration status of colour reproduction and whether the machine can still connect to the HP Cloud also matter.
