HP Jet Fusion 5600 — Technical data

The HP Jet Fusion 5600 is the current production system in HP's Multi Jet Fusion family for plastic parts. Its effective build volume is 380 × 284 × 380 mm with a 0.09 mm layer; according to HP a full build takes about 11.8 hours in Balanced mode. It processes polyamides such as PA 11 Gen2, PA 12, flame-retardant PA 12 FR, glass-bead-filled PA 12 GB and white PA 12 W, plus the elastic TPU01. HP aims the 5600 at series production of more than 550 parts per week; the optional Process Development Package lets users develop process parameters in-house. Powder preparation is handled by the 5200 series Processing Station.

For a used 5600, ask for print hours, service history and the condition of printheads, fusing lamps and thermal camera. Also check which options are unlocked (Process Development, ESD mode), whether service and software contracts can be transferred, and whether processing station, build units and cooling units are included. Plan for a three-phase supply of up to 50 A and roughly 21 m² of floor space.
