HP Jet Fusion 4200 — Technical data

The HP Jet Fusion 4200 was HP's first industrial Multi Jet Fusion system for small series and functional plastic parts. Its effective build volume is 380 × 284 × 380 mm, layer thickness 0.08 mm, and the build rate just over 4,100 cm³/h. The solution includes a processing station with fast cooling for mixing, sieving, loading and semi-automatic unpacking; after printing the build unit moves to the station. It processes PA 11, PA 12, PA 12 GB as well as TPU and TPA. HP discontinued the 4200 on 1 October 2024 and commits to support and consumables until October 2029; the successor platform is the 5200 series.

Anyone buying a used 4200 today should factor in the 2029 end of support and clarify how long printheads, agents and spare parts will realistically be available. Check print hours, the condition of lamps and printheads, the included processing station and the number of build units. A three-phase supply (up to 30 A at 400 V) is needed at the new site.
