Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W — Technical data

The Fuse 1+ 30W is Formlabs' current compact SLS system and succeeded the Fuse 1 in July 2022. A 30 W fibre laser and a revised scanning system allow print speeds up to twice as fast in the same 165 × 165 × 300 mm build volume, according to Formlabs. New is the option to print under nitrogen: parts become more ductile, the Nylon 11 refresh rate drops from 50 to 30 %, and Nylon 11 CF requires inert gas. An agitator in the powder hopper ensures more consistent powder delivery. It processes several Nylon 12 variants, Nylon 11, glass- and carbon-fibre-filled powders and TPU 90A.

If a Fuse 1+ is offered used, ideally a Fuse Sift, several build chambers and possibly a Fuse Blast come with it. Check laser hours, heaters and filter sets. Ask which powders were printed, since a material change requires thorough cleaning, and how much used and fresh powder is included. If a nitrogen supply is present, the generator or cylinder connection is part of the valuation. Have the device released from the Dashboard account and clarify warranty and service plan.
