Formlabs Form Wash (2. Generation) — Technical data

The second-generation Form Wash appeared in 2024 together with the Form 4 and automatically cleans resin prints in isopropyl alcohol, TPM or Formlabs Resin Washing Solution. The build platform is hung in with the parts attached, a magnetically coupled impeller agitates the solvent, and afterwards the unit lifts the parts out to drain. The bucket holds 14.4 l, and parts up to 20 × 14.5 × 19.5 cm fit. Compared with the first generation, Formlabs cites three times more agitation and 67 % more parts per solvent fill. It is compatible with Form 4 and 4B, Form 3 and 3+, Form 3B and 3B+ as well as Form 2.

Used, the Form Wash is a sensible addition to a Form 4 or Form 3. Check bucket and seals for cracks, whether the impeller runs freely and the lift mechanism works smoothly. The unit should be handed over empty, as isopropyl alcohol is flammable and counts as dangerous goods in shipping. Ask for the hydrometer and platform mounts that belong to the scope of delivery.
