Formlabs Form Cure L (2. Generation) — Technical data

The second-generation Form Cure L is matched to the Form 4L and post-cures large resin parts with 96 LEDs (405 nm, 350 W) and heat up to 100 °C. The turntable measures 404 mm, and parts up to 365 mm tall fit. Formlabs cites five times more UV power, parts up to 19 % larger and a footprint 26 % smaller than the first generation; for Form 4L prints, 60 seconds is said to be enough in some cases. The unit measures 507 × 543 × 545 mm and weighs 40 kg.

When buying used: check power first – 230 V with up to 8 A in the EU, 15 A at 120 V in North America; the versions are voltage-specific. A test cycle shows whether all LED panels light up, the turntable runs smoothly and the target temperature is reached. Two people are advisable for transporting and installing the 40 kg unit. Ask about firmware version and remaining warranty, and have the rating plate shown to identify the generation clearly.
