Formlabs Form Cure L (1. Generation) — Technical data

The first-generation Form Cure L is Formlabs' large post-curing chamber and was developed for parts from the Form 3L. 45 LEDs at 375 and 405 nm, two 500 W heaters up to 80 °C, a reflective interior and a turntable with a 39.5 cm diameter post-cure parts up to 32 cm tall. The unit measures 69 × 54 × 44.5 cm, weighs 24 kg and needs 230 V with up to 8 A in the EU. According to Formlabs it fits all of the brand's SLA printers up to the Form 4L. The second generation offers more UV power on a smaller footprint.

Power demand is the most important point for the installation site when buying used: an outlet that can carry 8 A continuously should be available. In a test run, check both heaters, the LEDs of both wavelengths and the turntable, and look for discolouration of the reflective surfaces. The chamber should be free of resin residue. Ask about the firmware and material settings; Formlabs states the particularly short curing times for Form 4L prints only for the second generation.
