Formlabs Form 4L — Technical data

The Form 4L brings the Low Force Display technology of the Form 4 to a large format and has replaced the Form 3L since October 2024. A Light Processing Unit 4L with 145 LEDs exposes each layer of the 35.3 × 19.6 × 35.0 cm build volume at once, at 46 µm pixel size and up to 80 mm/h. The build volume is about 13 % larger than its predecessor's, two cartridges feed the tank, and a heater brings the resin to 25 to 45 °C. The printer weighs 58.5 kg and draws up to 900 W. 19 Formlabs resins are released; biocompatible ones only on the Form 4BL.

Because exposure covers the full layer, the Form 4L shows its strength on full platforms – ask how heavily the unit has been used so far. Important are print hours, error log and LPU replacement history, the condition of the large resin tank (manufacturer figure more than 75,000 layers) and scratches on the glass surface. Plan transport and installation for almost 60 kg and clarify Dashboard transfer, remaining warranty and any service plan.
